Changing careers is something most folks consider at same point in their working life. Maybe they rushed into a career because they wanted to make more money or took the easy path in school and just got the easiest degree they could think of. Whatever the case may be if a person already holds a degree it may be easier then they realize to change careers.
You may think this would not apply to specialty fields of study, but it can. Yes you will still need to learn the details to ensure you understand what you need to understand, but maybe you can bypass some or many of the classes that are not really applicable to the career of interest. This may be even more doing in fields where there is more demand then supply.
For instance most realize there is huge demand for RNs and it is expected to increase in the future. One reason this is expected is due to the aging baby boomer population who will need more healthcare care and who are going to be retiring.
